29 Preface فَكَفىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهيدًا بَينَنا وَبَينَكُم إِن كُنّا عَن عِبادَتِكُم لَغافِلينَYusuf Ali“Enough is God for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!”1See last note. They did not even know that they were being falsely worshipped in that way.
