78 Preface قالوا يا أَيُّهَا العَزيزُ إِنَّ لَهُ أَبًا شَيخًا كَبيرًا فَخُذ أَحَدَنا مَكانَهُ ۖ إِنّا نَراكَ مِنَ المُحسِنينَYusuf AliThey said: “O exalted one!1 Behold! he has a father, aged and venerable, (who will grieve for him); so take one of us in his place; for we see that thou art (gracious) in doing good.”I have translated the tide of 'Aziz here as “the exalted one” when addressed to Joseph in order not to cause confusion with the other man, the 'Aziz, the Courtier, who had bought Joseph on arrival in Egypt.
