48 Preface وَما نُريهِم مِن آيَةٍ إِلّا هِيَ أَكبَرُ مِن أُختِها ۖ وَأَخَذناهُم بِالعَذابِ لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَAhmed Ali(Even though) each miracle that We showed them was greater than the other. So We seized them with chastisement so that they may turn back.
