42وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا إِلىٰ أُمَمٍ مِن قَبلِكَ فَأَخَذناهُم بِالبَأساءِ وَالضَّرّاءِ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَضَرَّعونَRashad KhalifaWe have sent (messengers) to communities before you, and we put them to the test through adversity and hardship, that they may implore.
