42 Preface وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا إِلىٰ أُمَمٍ مِن قَبلِكَ فَأَخَذناهُم بِالبَأساءِ وَالضَّرّاءِ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَضَرَّعونَAhmed AliWe have indeed sent (apostles) to many a people before you, and inflicted upon them hardships and afflictions so that they might submit.
